The Bell of Your Voice

The sound of your voice
Your dearest voice
Like ebb and flow
Ebb and flow
Comes and goes
Arrives and departs
Like a sound of a bell
And then the layer of silence

Both the bell of your voice
And silence
Are precious

Silence punctuates anticipation
Excitement
Knowing that it will arrive
Like a bell ringing in a church
There is always the next one coming

When it comes
It is powerful
Moving
Touching places and spaces
Vibrating
And lasting and lasting
Echoing and echoing

I would not trade the bell of your voice
For anything
